Midterm Excuse Applications

Students who will apply for the Make-up Exam must fill out the attached Application Form and submit it to the department secretariat, together with the reasons (proof must be attached), within five working days following the exam for the midterm exams at the latest.

The reasons for applying for the Make-up Exam and the Application form are attached.

ABOUT EXAM HOURS OVERLAPING COURSES
There will be no change in the exam schedule for students who have made a DAP or taken courses from another department due to overlapping courses. Because;

Students will take the make-up exam in their own department (major) from the overlapping courses. Must take the exam of the other section (including the DAP). Accordingly, they must submit their excuse petition to their own department.

Make-up Exam ARTICLE 18 –

(1) Students who cannot attend the exams due to the excuses stated below, provided that they are documented;

· within five working days following the exam for midterm exams

· at least two working days before the start of the make-up exam dates specified in the academic calendar for year-end exams

They should apply to the relevant Department Heads with a petition.

Students whose excuses are accepted can take the make-up exam on the announced dates.

a) Sickness Status: A student who cannot attend the exam due to a serious illness requiring hospitalization on the dates of the relevant exams, or one of his first or second degree relatives, must document this situation with a report and submit it as an annex to the petition.

b) Death of One of His Relatives: A student who could not attend the relevant examination due to the death of one of his first or second degree relatives or relatives on the relevant examination dates must document this situation and submit it in the annex of the petition.

c) Detention and Conviction: A student who cannot attend the relevant exam due to being detained or convicted on the relevant exam dates must document this situation and submit it as an annex to the petition.

ç) Assigned by the University and Other Official Institutions: National or international competitions, sports activities, etc., on the dates of the relevant exams. The student, who cannot attend the relevant exam due to his/her being assigned by the university or other official institutions due to reasons, must document this situation and submit it in the annex of the petition.

d) Exam conflict situation: In the event that the exams for the different courses of the student are held at the same time, on the relevant exam dates, the student who cannot attend the exam of the other course/courses with overlap, presents this situation with the approved copy of the exam programs of the overlapping exams and the relevant department chair in the annex to the petition. must.
